Come and listen as we give this game its flowers, talking about our first memories of playing it, why it wasn't a bigger deal at the time, and the unforgettable stealth sequence. We also reflect on the legacy it left behind, including how it set the standard for remakes in the Metroid series, introducing the world to Zero Suit Samus, and the rebirth of the Power Bomb as Metroid's ultimate weapon, and more! Hold on to your hats this week, as it's finally time to give the legend his due. That's right - this week is all about KRAID! We're going through and ranking all four of the Big Daddy Kraid confrontations and discussing the mechanics and evolutions, plus talking about Kraid adjacent fights and appearances, like Nintendo Land and Super Smash Bros. Melee! We finish off our Kraid homage by pitching a couple ways you could fight the behemoth in a 3D Metroid Prime game, how big Kraid would need to be, and discussing environment vs combat battle options
All this, PLUS we give our two cents on the current rumblings and rumors surrounding the Xbox's future and what lead to this sad state of affairs. Come pay homage to the one and only Kraid with us and let us know what you think of our ideas!

We're back this week to talk - what else? - Metroid Prime 4! As we've done before, we're going over a bunch of things we want to see in the game! Were working off of a wishlist that Doom put together that covers things like: could wall running be neat, or is that hokey? How foes one make a Speed Booster work in 3D? Should the Speed Booster be third person, first person, or a mix of both? Could the Grapple Beam have a Gravity feature added to pull heavier objects? Could an escape sequence in Samus's ship bring some new pep to the proud Metroid tradition? What would different difficulty options consist of? These are just a few of the topics we raise, so buckle in and get ready for a thoughtful show!

It's a bittersweet week for us here at Omega Metroid, as the long suspected but recently confirmed demise of E3 was made official. Instead of being sad that E3 is over, however, the fellas decide to be glad that it happened and take a two hour trip down memory lane reminiscing about Metroid's finest moments at the gaming showcase. From the highest of high's - Ridley debuting in Smash Bros., Reggie's introduction of the DS and Metroid Prime Hunters, Metroid Prime 4's reveal, and the resurrection of Metroid Dread - to the lowest of lows - Federation Force's disastrous reveal, Samus Returns skipping the main show, multiple years of no Metroid to begin E3's life - we glance over it all. Come pour one out with us for E3, and check out Doom's E3 notes here (complete with links to all trailers and reveals!).
