Was Retro Studios working on a third Donkey Kong game before taking over development for Prime 4? Will Raven Beak be a playable character in the next Smash Bros. game? Summer's almost over Metroid fans, but not to worry because we've got just the remedy - a good ol' fashioned ranking episode! This week, Andy and Doom are judging every Metroid titles final area and ranking them from best to worst! What even constitutes a final area? What criteria do we use to grade them? Are we keeping the final boss fights separate from the area itself? Can music and atmosphere make up for smaller areas? Do escape sequences factor into our decisions at all? All this and more answered!

Welcome back to the SECOND edition of our newest podcast sub-series, Alien in Review, where Andy and his Virtual Theater co-host Gooey Fame go through and watch every movie in the Alien franchise, the series that inspired Metroid! This week, Andy and Goo are watching James Cameron's 1986 sequel, ALIENS! We discuss a variety of themes, including how we liked the switch from Ridley Scott's Alien having horror vibes to Aliens more action orientated approach, if Aliens is the best sequel of all time, how Ripley and Newt's relationship influenced Super Metroid and Metroid: Other M, how the Alien Queen influenced the evolution of the Metroid species, Ripley as one of the greatest action movie heroes of all time, and so much more!

Welcome to another week of the Omega Metroid Podcast! This week, Andy and Doom and joined by Omega Social Media Manager Jules Gia to discuss the upcoming Summer of Metroid Madness tournament! What the heck is that? Glad you asked! Summer of Metroid Madness is a tournament Omega Metroid us running starting TOMORROW August 16th that will pit 32 Metroid characters going up against each other in a series of NCAA-style 1v1 matchups. We go through the entire bracket, pick our favorites, and select a winner of the whole shebang!

After two and a half years, the game EVERYONE has been dying to talk about finally has it's time in the sun on the Omega Metroid Podcast! No, it's not Metroid Prime 4 - it's Metroid Prime Pinball! We go as in depth as anyone has ever went into this game, breaking down each table, mini game, boss encounter, Artifact collectable, and even throw out a few of our high scores! We also go over why the games sales didn't live up to it's expectations, what would be the perfect scenario needed to ever see Pinball again, and praise the developer Fuse Games for making this feel like a Metroid game that was Pinball versus a Pinball game with Metroid stuff slapped on it.

What’s up Omega Metroid fans! This week, we’ve got something waaay different than usual – in fact, it’s not even a proper episode of the Omega Metroid Podcast! Andy is away for the Zelda Dungeon Marathon, Dak is out of town casting, and Doom is tied up this week as well, so instead of leaving you guys empty handed, we figured we’d treat you to a previously PATREON LOCKED bonus episode of Andy’s video game movie podcast, Virtual Theater. The bonus episode is all about Captain N and the Game Master, the crazy 80’s Nintendo cartoon where Kevin, aka Captain N, and his dog Duke are sucked into Video Game Land, where they do battle with the evil Mother Brain on the planet Metroid. This series is crazy, the depiction of Mother Brain is wild, and we had a whole lot of fun covering this specific episode, “Mr. and Mrs. Mother Brain”, where, you guessed it, Mother Brain gets married!
