This episode is a special one, as we're celebrating six years of The Zelda Cast, five years of Virtual Theater, and four years of Omega Metroid by getting all of our amazing hosts (sans Gooey!) into one place to answer some Zelda, Metroid, and Virtual Theater trivia in the form of Jeopardy! We're back this week, and we put YOU in charge of the show! We asked you for your Metroid Fusion questions, and you delivered big time! We're touching on subjects like; how could the B.S.L. blow up SR388 just by crashing into it? What's our favorite sound effect from the game? How would we want a remake to handle the SA-X? What's our alternate ideas for how Adams AI could have developed consciousness? Could the intro on SR388 become a playable prologue? Welcome to the first episode of the podcast in 2024! This week, Andy and Doom are getting together to review the year that was 2023! We talk about the unbelievable highs of Metroid Prime Remastered, the shadow drop, and Metroid Fusion and Return of Samus hitting NSO, while also touching on some of the lows of the year, including the ever-looming shadow of the Switch 2, Metroid Prime 4, and Echoes and Corruption. We also predict what we'll see from the series in 2024, including whether or not you'll have played Prime 4 by this time next year! We also touch on some of our favorite games, shows, movies, and music of the year!

It's a bittersweet week for us here at Omega Metroid, as the long suspected but recently confirmed demise of E3 was made official. Instead of being sad that E3 is over, however, the fellas decide to be glad that it happened and take a two hour trip down memory lane reminiscing about Metroid's finest moments at the gaming showcase. From the highest of high's - Ridley debuting in Smash Bros., Reggie's introduction of the DS and Metroid Prime Hunters, Metroid Prime 4's reveal, and the resurrection of Metroid Dread - to the lowest of lows - Federation Force's disastrous reveal, Samus Returns skipping the main show, multiple years of no Metroid to begin E3's life - we glance over it all. Come pour one out with us for E3, and check out Doom's E3 notes here (complete with links to all trailers and reveals!).

Mapping Metroid is back for another kick at the can, and this time we're going where we've never gone before: Metroid: Samus Returns! We're examining the fan favorite Area 7, aka the Chozo Laboratory, and breaking it down in great detail! We touch on the size of the area and its lack of items or boss fights, break down the three different Omega Metroid fights and what makes them so incredible, discuss the lore of this area as the birthplace of the Metroid species, analyze some of the crazy Spiderspark puzzles, gush about the amazing piece of music that helps this area stick out, and offer our opinions on the areas of Samus Returns as a whole and how the whole is greater than the sum of the parts!

Inspired By Metroid returns, this time, to a post apocalyptic world where humanity is no more and only robots remain! We're playing Haiku, The Robot, a Game-Boy-Color-influenced Metroidvania from developer Mister Morris games and giving our thoughts on the games world, story, boss fights, and so much more! Playing as the cute robot Haiku, you could be the answer to a mysterious virus that's plagued the planet for years. Does Haiku, The Robot rise above and carve out a place for itself among the best Metroidvania's available on the Switch, or does the games virus prove to be its undoing? Come hang out with us to find out!
All this, PLUS some Twilight talk and getting ready for next week's Mapping Metroid when we finally journey to Samus Returns' SR388!

Lore Archives is back! This week on the show, Dak & Doom dive into the bounty hunters of the Metroid universe. We talk about all the known bounty hunters in the games from Metroid Prime Hunters as well as Prime 3: Corruption. These characters are shrouded in mystery. What do we know about them? In honor of Super Mario RPG coming out this week for the Nintendo Switch, we're reminiscing about our favorite Samus Aran cameos from over the years! From the most famous cameos, like the aforementioned Mario RPG bed spot to Samus rocking out with the cello, to some more obscure appearances, like the classic F1 Racing and Picross, to a whole schwack of crazy WarioWare guest spots, we go through them all to decide which one is the best! We also shout out some classic Metroid-in-general cameos like the Rocket League Gunship skin to appearances that never happened, like Fortnite in this action-packed episode!
We're also giving our thought and reactions on the recently announced Zelda movie and what it could mean for a live-action Metroid movie going forward, PLUS touching on some cool titles shown in todays Indie Direct! Come hang out with us!
