We don't talk about the game itself, but the multiplayer character based shooter concept of it instead and argue whether Metroid is the right series to launch a Nintendo specific character based FPS. Do Metroid fans like multiplayer? Could Nintendo even make this game good? Does anybody remember the other Hunters? And the big one - is Metroid Prime a first person shooter?

I think saying Hunters is like Federation Force is really misleading. FF was bad, atleast to me, because the FF soldiers are lame and have literally no character or lore or relevance to the story. Hunters like Trace or Noxus are incredibly interesting. These characters show that there are benevolent warriors like the chozo and an evil hive mind with the Kriken. These characters could have an entire game surrounding them. You can't do that with the bland faceless troopers.

If they made a hunters sequel or remake. They could easily have a metroid prime type story mode and have a good multiplayer. While I never finished hunters story mode, the concept of more characters is really interesting and builds the universe more than any other game. The story mode could be like prime 3, but you run into and battle the other hunters as you explore multiple planets. It can still be exploration based while having a bit more emphasis on better combat.
