Doominal Crossing is back this week for another solo show, this time revisiting a topic from one of the earliest episodes of the podcast: Definitively Ranking Every Power Suit! The initial episode premiered well before Doom joined the podcast, making this the first time he gets a say on the matter. What's more, is since the episode dropped, we've had two additional Metroid titles with new suits that need to be ranked! Join Doom on this journey spanning from NEStroid all the way to Metroid Prime 4: Beyond as every single one of Samus Aran's Power Suits gets ranked from best to worst (and yes, there WILL be spicy takes). Doominal Crossing is hosting this week while Andy takes some time off. However, he's not alone! Joining the episode today for his third podcast appearance is special guest, Joey Ferris! Joey for the uninitated is a huge Metroid fan who currently makes content for Commonwealth Realm over on YouTube. On today's episode, the duo go through every Metroid game (and we mean ALL of them) to select their personal pick for the worst song from each title. Some games are certainly easier to pick from than others, so join us today as we struggle to pick the worst song from our favorite soundtracks and spill some spicy tea on our least favorites. Remakes, remakes, remakes. You don't really want them, we don't really want them, but hey - where there's smoke, there's fire. The rumors around a Super Metroid remake have been floating around for a while, and while we would all prefer a Metroid 6 next, we talk about what we would want from this remake if it should happen. We discuss this hypothetical remake should use the Dread engine, if 2D-HD would be a good look for the game, what Zero Mission areas and content could be added, even what type of remake this could end up being.

We talk of Metroid Prime 4’s sales performance and how, given that neither the Switch 1 or Switch 2 Editions have cracked a million units sold individually, it may be high time to officially call Beyond a flop… if you hadn’t been calling it that already. Also on the docket: Switch 2 price increases, MercurySteam layoffs, Pick Your Bundle Switch 2 news, Takashi Tezuka’s retirement, and our thoughts on the Star Fox announcement.

After a long layoff, Mapping Metroid returns! This time around, we are analyzing one of Andy's favorite areas in the series: Super Metroid's Brinstar!
